Discord shattered YouTube records with its new April Fools' prank, which achieved 1.4 billion views in 24 hours. This came with their Discord Loot Boxes update, which had an announcement trailer embedded from YouTube on loop in the Discord app. This made Discord break the previous record for the most views in 24 hours on YouTube. It passed over a billion views, except this is all because of what is pretty much a Discord view bot. In this video I answer how the Discord Loot Boxes view bot happened, and how the Discord loot boxes 1 billion views situation unfolded.
